Two voices sing; one beam of light draws their harmony.
A chorale for two sung voices in just intonation, drawn by its own sound. The lower voice moves the beam from side to side, the upper voice up and down, so every interval traces its figure — the unison a circle, the octave a figure-eight, the fifth a knot, the fourth and the thirds denser weaves. Vowel and vibrato change only where the beam slows and glows, never the figure. The phrases breathe; a second verse rises in the minor; the sound narrows to a single point of light, and the last cadence closes, voice against voice, into a perfect circle. The trace is the dry signal; only the room is added to what you hear.
Two sung voices in just intonation: the lower moves the beam across, the upper up and down, so each interval draws its figure — the unison a circle, the octave a figure-eight, the fifth a knot. The chorale ends by closing into the circle.
